The Blame

Now, the major problems rocking Nigeria are food insecurity, kidnapping and other forms of insecurity. The naira is losing value each passing day and Nigerians are desperate to find the one responsible for it.

Many Nigerians are very certain that the president is responsible for what they are going through.

The reason is not far-fetched. Since, President Tinubu took over and announced the removal of fuel subsidy, life has never been the same.

Many believe the president should be held responsible for the hardship, this category of people claims that as the president, Tinubu’s policies have brought nothing but hardship and suffering to Nigerians.

Indeed, these persons are not wrong, because until Tinubu’s assumption, Nigerians seemed to be doing fine, despite the complaints.

But then, there are persons who believe that the past administration’s damage is what is affecting the country now.

Emefiele In The Mix

This category of people, including Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, believe that big names like Emefiele had destroyed the country to a point of no return.

Godswill Akpabio accused the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), of committing so many economic offences during his time in power as the head of the apex bank.

These atrocities, according to the Senate President, include illegal possession of firearms, printing naira notes without authorisation, and others which put Nigeria in an economic mess.

To Akpabio, there is hunger in Nigeria today because of the type of policies and actions taken under Emefiele’s watch during the past administration.

However, this comment did not end well for Akpabio. In fact, the Senate President received the insult of his life.

The Hard Way

There are also speculations that the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, is responsible for Nigeria’s calamity.
