Being the only graduate in an entire family is not an easy task.

In fact, such can only be achieved through the special grace of God, hence, Vera had come to the church to share what God has done for her.

She sat among the crowd of worshipers, with her eyes fixed on the clock. She could not wait for the testimony time so she can share her joy.

The Testimony

Finally, the time was ripe, and Anyim was ushered up to the podium.

She mounted the alter, with joy beaming through her face and a beautiful smile which had already conveyed her joy to the audience.

She began, “I want to appreciate God for my life and my family, and I want to thank God for using mummy and daddy for our sake. It all happened when I was trying to attend the National Open University of Nigeria.

“Before I came to Dunamis, many things were happening in my life and my family; from my father’s side and my mother’s side, nobody was a graduate.

“They only ended up in primary or secondary school.

“But when God remembered me, I got a job, and I was working, and I decided to further my education.

“I started school, and I wanted to do a law programme.

BSc In Law

“I started in 2014, and I never lacked the money to pay my school fees; I kept going to the extent that I got to my 500 level, and challenges everywhere: problems, sickness, they afflict me with leg pain, and I was not able to finish my mate had finished.

“The law programme is six years, but since I was unable to meet up, I keep on like that. But yesterday, I graduated”.

However, in a shocking twist of events, Pastor Enenche questioned the credibility of her testimony.

He inquired to know what kind of “law degree,” to which the lady answered “BSc in Law”.

He said: “The moment she talked about a law degree, I knew there is nothing like ‘law’ in what she was saying.

“No matter how bad it is, it hasn’t reached that level.
“Is there any lawyer here with a BSc in Law? Lie testimony, come to stand on the altar to tell lies in the name of testimony?”

He then demanded that she leaves the pulpit.

Panel Of Judges

At this point, the shock and disappointment on Vera’s face said it all.

You see, this drama has sparked huge controversy, as Nigerians struggle to take the front seat in judging the matter.

Many people have shown empathy towards Vera, many others have condemned the man of God.

There are others who have given their full support to Enenche for his actions.

Well, in the midst of all this drama, there are some hidden things many Nigerians seem not to be seeing.

The Hidden Truth

Let’s ask ourselves some questions.

How was Vera able to gain her certificate? Did she cheat or involve in any form of malpractice?

We are tempted to ask these questions because of certain observations.

First, BSc and LLB does not in anyway sound alike, so how could she have made such a mistake.

Okay, let’s assume that was really a mistake, how about her stage fright and her poorly pronounced english.

Lawyers, both practicing and students, are well known for their eloquence and confidence.

Have you ever seen a lawyer speak? Oh my God, you may be confused to think that black is white, such eloquence is what we are talking about.

Although, there might be exceptions and that will also show in the result the individual came out with.

Also, her determination to break the ‘generational curse’ and becoming the first graduate of her family is enough to push her to that extent.
