A video of an alleged lecturer at the Polytechnic of Auchi receiving backlashes from passersby after  physically assaulting a P.O.S attendant.

A viral video on social media captured the moment a young lady wept bitterly after being slapped by a client over a failed transaction.

The lecturer had processed a transaction at the P.O.S shop multiple times but all turned out to be failed transaction.

Out of frustration, the said Auchi Polytechnic lecturer reportedly slapped the lady which later caused outrage from onlookers that condemned the action.

Meanwhile, the University of Jos chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU, on Friday ordered its members to stay at home indefinitely, after receiving half salaries from the FG.

The university made this known in a statement signed by the branch chairperson, Professor Lazarus Maigoro and made available to newsmen.

iBrandtv reports that on Thursday, the government had paid half salaries to the striking university lecturers.

The statement partly reads, “One of the issues agreed at the meeting was that 50% of the backlog of eight months arrears of our withheld salaries will be paid to our members immediately but as at the time of writing this press release, only 17 days prorated October salary was paid to our members by the office of the Accountant General of the Federation.
