Pastor E.A Adeboye has dared to do what many men of God may consider a sacrilege.
This is so because, the Christian religion does not believe in swearing an oath to prove a point.
The general overseer of the Redeemed Christian church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye urged his followers to make a very “strange” prayer during the 2023 annual convention themed “Beyond Expectations” on Friday.
Rumors Of Occultic Powers
He asked them to pray and ask God to take his life if he consults demonic powers to run his ministry, as it was rumored.
The RCCG general overseer said he had heard these false accusations of him being occultic while using God’s name in disguise but he never paid attention to the rumours even when it was put on the internet.
However, he revealed that, during one of his prayer sessions for the convention, it was laid in his spirit to address the subject matter in order to clear the air as there could be some people who believed the rumours.
Pastor Adeboye Clears The Air
“While I was praying three days ago, praying for the convention naturally, I felt the leading, let me put it that way, that there might be some people who believe these things.
“So, I just want you to pray one more prayer; if there is any link between Pastor Adeboye and the forces of darkness, ‘Father, kill him before the sun rises’.

“We are going to settle that issue today.
“I want you to call on God that if Pastor Adeboye is contacting the devil one way or the other, if there are any connections between him and forces of darkness, kill him before the sun rises so that he doesn’t spoil your name; so that he doesn’t lead several people to hell.”
However, Pastor Adeboye also told the congregation to ask God for an increase of spiritual power if he is innocent of the allegations leveled against him.
“Then, you add to that prayer, ‘Say Father, but if this boy is using your power and your power alone, then multiply that power sevenfold’.”
