Nigerian singer, Ahmed Ololade known as Asake, has expressed his condolences to the family of a lady who died from an injury sustained during the chaos at his London Concert.

One of the four critically injured victims of the pandemonium, 33-year-old Rebecca Ikumelo, of Newham, was left in critical condition following the stampede at the show.

She died in the early hours of Saturday morning.

In a statement released via his official social media page, Asake requested that his fans keep her family in their prayers.

He also revealed that his team is awaiting the full debrief from the venue management and requested that revelabt information be sent to the Metropolitan Police.

The statement reads, “I am devastated by the news that Rebecca Ikumelo who was in a critical condition since Thursday has sadly passed away.

“My sincerest condolences go to her loved ones at this time. Let us please keep her family in our prayers. I have spoken to them and will continue to do so.

“I am overwhelmed with grief and could never have imagined anything like this happening.

“My team and I are still awaiting the full debrief back from the Venue management and the Police to determine what exactly led to all the disruption caused and ultimately to Rebecca’s passing.

“If you have any relevant information relating to this please do reach out to the Metropolitan Police.”

About 3,000 people without tickets had broken into the venue of Asake’s concert, causing congestion.
