Hours after taking the oath of office, the new governor of Osun State, Ademola Jackson Adeleke has approved the first appointment of  his administration.

The appointments came a few hours after Adeleke took the oath of office with his deputy, Kola Adewusi, at the Osogbo City Stadium on Sunday.

After his inauguration, Adeleke approved the appointment of Kazeem Akinleye as his Chief of Staff.

The governor also announced the appointment of Teslim Igbalaye as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Olawale Rasheed as his spokesperson.

Adeleke, who personally announced the new political appointees, said their appointment begins with immediate effect.

Recall that Adeleke and his deputy were sworn-in by the state’s Chief Judge, Justice Oyebola Adepele-Ojo, amid cheers from crowd of supporters who besieged the venue of the ceremony.

Adeleke had on Sunday ordered the freezing of the state government’s account.

He also ordered the reversal of the name of the state from ‘state of Osun’ to ‘ Osun state’.
