Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing the toughest moment of his life as federal prosecutors push for a prison sentence of more than eleven years.
They describe the music mogul as “unrepentant,” saying he refuses to accept responsibility for the crimes that led to his conviction.
In July, a jury found Combs guilty of transporting women across state lines for prostitution, a crime under the Mann Act.
During the trial, victims shared disturbing accounts of how he controlled and exploited them, leaving behind years of trauma.
One of his former partners, Cassie Ventura, wrote in a statement that she still fears retaliation and has even moved her family for safety.
Prosecutors argue that such harm cannot be brushed aside. They want Diddy punished with a long sentence and a heavy fine, insisting that anything less would silence the voices of the women who came forward.
But Diddy’s defense team is fighting for leniency.
They say he has already suffered enough, pointing to the time he has spent in jail and his attempts at mentoring other inmates.
They are asking the judge to give him no more than 14 months.
On Friday, October 3, 2025, Diddy will stand before the judge, given a chance to speak for himself.
For the court, it will be a decision between a man’s plea for mercy and the prosecution’s call for justice.
