American rapper and streamer Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., popularly known as DDG, has sparked debate after claiming that streamers make more money than music artistes.

The entertainer made the assertion during a recent livestream with popular Nigerian streamer Carterefe.

He spoke candidly about the financial differences between his two careers.

According to DDG, streaming has proven to be more lucrative than music, despite his success as a recording artiste.

DDG began his professional music career in 2016 and rose to fame with his hit single Givenchy, off his debut EP.

He later made a bold decision to drop out of Central Michigan University to fully pursue his YouTube and content creation career, a move that has since paid off.
