Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has recorded a major career milestone as her directorial debut, Oversabi Aunty.
The film grossed over ₦382 million at Nigerian cinemas within just 11 days of release.

The comedy-drama has emerged as Nollywood’s second-highest-grossing film of the weekend in 2025.
Oversabi Aunty follows the story of a well-meaning but overly intrusive aunt who constantly tries to solve everyone’s problems, only to trigger a series of hilarious misunderstandings and emotional revelations.
The relatable storyline, blended with humour and life lessons, has resonated strongly with audiences.
The film’s advanced screening on December 18 generated massive buzz.
Also, it sets the tone for its nationwide cinema release on December 19.
Since then, it has enjoyed steady ticket sales across cinemas nationwide.
The movie features a star-studded cast including Mike Ezuruonye, Efe Irele, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, and several other notable Nollywood talents, adding to its wide appeal.
Reacting to the achievement, Toyin Abraham took to social media to express heartfelt gratitude to her fans and supporters.
“Honestly, I can’t thank God and you my amazing fans enough. Without your love and support, I am nothing,” she wrote.
“Achieving this kind of milestone in just 11 days is HUGE for me! What took three weeks before, we’ve now done in 11 days. Eshey! Modupe ganni!”
She also urged cinema lovers to keep supporting the film, describing it as more than just entertainment.
