Afrobeats star Adekunle Gold has cancelled his scheduled performance at Music City Central.
He cited the organisers’ failure to fulfil key agreed obligations and the venue’s lack of readiness.

In a statement shared via his official social media platforms, the singer explained that the conditions at the venue were not suitable for delivering the standard of performance his fans deserve.
He noted that proceeding under such circumstances would compromise the quality of the show.
“I won’t be performing at Music City Central today. Unfortunately, due to the organisers not meeting key agreed obligations and the event not being in a state that allows us deliver the kind of show you deserve, we can’t proceed,” Adekunle Gold said.
The singer expressed regret over the cancellation, acknowledging fans who had already made plans to attend the event.
He thanked them for their continued support and understanding, assuring them that the decision was not taken lightly.
“I know many of you made plans to see me, and I don’t take that for granted,” he added.
Adekunle Gold also assured fans that updates regarding future performances and appearances would be communicated through his verified platforms.
