Emotional Goodbye At Mavin

Di’ja joined Mavin Records on February 14, 2014, and quickly built her presence in the music industry.

During her time at the label, she released several hit singles and an EP between 2014 and 2017.

However, in 2023, she explained that she never formally left the label, saying that “life happened”.

Meanwhile, during a recent episode of the Crea8torium podcast, Don Jazzy shared details about the difficult conversation that ended their professional relationship.

He explained that the atmosphere in the room became emotional because everyone struggled with the decision.

According to him, he sees every artist on his label as family.

As a result, the situation affected him deeply and made the process even more painful.

He admitted that both he and Di’ja fought back tears during the meeting because of the strong bond they had built over the years.

Artists Exit Process

Furthermore, Don Jazzy revealed that he no longer handles artists’ exits personally.

Instead, label executives Tega and Rima now manage such matters whenever an artist decides to leave the label.

While reflecting on the experience, the music executive recalled how emotions filled the room.

He said Di’ja even questioned why others involved him in the discussion because she already knew how difficult the moment was for him.

In the end, everyone in the room broke down in tears as the emotional meeting came to a close.
