Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp) has closed its 2025 financial year, delivering stronger returns to shareholders.

The board declared a final dividend of ₦1.60 per share, totalling ₦16.2 billion.

Dividend Declaration And Payout Timeline

Shareholders on the register as at April 27, 2026 will receive the payout.

The company will seek approval at its AGM scheduled for May 8, 2026.

The dividend also attracts withholding tax, as required by regulation.

If shareholders approve it, the company will pay the dividend electronically on AGM day.

Importantly, this payment applies only to shareholders enrolled on e-dividend systems.

Stronger Earnings And Higher Returns

Meanwhile, the final dividend completes a stronger payout year for investors.

Earlier, the company paid an interim dividend of ₦0.40 per share in August 2025.

As a result, total dividends for 2025 rose to ₦2.00 per share.

This figure doubles the ₦1.00 paid in 2024.

Consequently, total dividend value reached about ₦20.3 billion.

This calculation uses 10.16 billion outstanding shares.

In addition, dividend yield stood at roughly 4% at a ₦50 share price.

Similarly, the payout ratio increased to 14.95%, up from 10.80% in 2024.

Furthermore, retained earnings surged to ₦181.1 billion from ₦62.1 billion.

This now accounts for more than half of total equity of ₦353.3 billion.

At the same time, earnings per share climbed to ₦8.44 from ₦1.45.

Revenue also grew to ₦544.1 billion from ₦407.9 billion in 2024.

The power segment drove ₦447.1 billion of total revenue.

Meanwhile, hospitality contributed ₦97.03 billion to overall revenue.

Transcorp Profit Growth, Assets, And Market Performance

Despite higher costs, the company grew operating profit to ₦197.3 billion from ₦149 billion.

After that, pre-tax profit rose 31.34% to ₦179.5 billion in 2025.

Finally, post-tax profit settled at ₦135.9 billion after tax charges.

The company urged shareholders to complete e-dividend registration promptly.

It also confirmed Africa Prudential as its appointed registrar.

Additionally, total assets rose to ₦1.002 trillion from ₦751.5 billion.

So far in 2026, the company’s shares have returned 10.13% on the exchange.
