FAAC Shares ₦1.894Tn February Revenue To FG, States, LGs

Nigeria’s federal, state and local governments shared ₦1.894 trillion February 2026 revenue after the latest FAAC meeting.

First, the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) met in Abuja to approve the distribution.

Then, Bawa Mokwa of the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation announced the figures.

Nigeria’s federal, state and local governments shared ₦1.894 trillion February 2026 revenue after the latest FAAC meeting.

FAAC Total Revenue And Reductions

FAAC reported ₦2.230 trillion as the total revenue available for distribution before deductions.

However, the committee deducted ₦77.302 billion as the cost of revenue collection.

Next, FAAC set aside ₦259.078 billion for transfers, refunds and savings.

Afterwards, FAAC approved ₦1.894 trillion for distribution among the three tiers of government.

Allocation To Three Tiers

Consequently, the Federal Government received ₦675.088 billion from the distributable revenue.

Similarly, state governments collectively received ₦651.525 billion from the February allocation.

Meanwhile, local government councils received ₦456.467 billion from the same revenue pool.

In addition, FAAC allocated ₦110.949 billion to oil-producing states as 13% derivation revenue.

The distributable revenue also included ₦1.274 trillion generated from statutory sources.

From this amount, the Federal Government received ₦613.174 billion as statutory revenue.

Likewise, state governments received ₦311.010 billion from statutory revenue.

At the same time, local governments received ₦239.776 billion from the statutory allocation.

Furthermore, FAAC distributed ₦619.119 billion generated from Value Added Tax revenue.

From the VAT revenue, the Federal Government received ₦61.912 billion.

Meanwhile, state governments received ₦340.515 billion from VAT revenue.

Likewise, local government councils received ₦216.692 billion from the VAT distribution.

February Revenue Performance

However, the FAAC communiqué showed declines in several major revenue sources compared with January.

For instance, gross statutory revenue dropped to ₦1.561 trillion from ₦1.957 trillion in January.

Similarly, gross VAT revenue declined to ₦668.450 billion during the February revenue cycle.

Nevertheless, oil and gas royalties and excise duties recorded noticeable increases.

Earlier, newsmen reported that FAAC shared ₦9.62 trillion between August and October 2025.
