Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Nigerian film industry.
This follows the death of his colleague, Allwell Ademola, who passed away on 27 December 2025.
In an emotional appreciation letter shared via Instagram, Salami thanked fellow actors, guilds, associations, and stakeholders across Nollywood
This is for the overwhelming show of love, unity, and support during a deeply painful period.
Describing the industry as more than a professional space, Salami Rotimi noted that Nollywood proved itself to be a true family, standing together in compassion and solidarity at a time of grief.
“With a heart still heavy, yet deeply grateful, I write this letter to appreciate every one of you for the overwhelming love, support, and solidarity shown to us during the burial rites of our beloved colleague, late Allwell Ademola,” he wrote.
Salami highlighted the numerous gestures extended by colleagues.
This includes physical presence, phone calls, messages, prayers, financial assistance, logistics, and behind-the-scenes support.
Also, he further praised the dignity and honour with which Allwell Ademola was laid to rest.
He noted that it reflected the respect and value the industry held for her life, talent, and impact.
“Nollywood showed up in unity, compassion, and honour,” he added. “You reminded us that beyond cameras, scripts, and sets, we share something deeper — humanity, love, and brotherhood.”
Salami emphasised that every gesture, no matter how small, meant the world to the bereaved.
He added that the collective support helped turn tears into strength and ensured Allwell’s final journey was filled with honour and love.
He concluded the message with prayers for divine reward and blessings upon everyone who stood by them, while also praying for long life within the industry and eternal rest for the late actress.
“May Allwell’s soul continue to rest in perfect peace, and may her legacy live on through the unity and kindness we witnessed from you all,” he wrote.
