Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has finally reacted to the death of his close associate and mentor, veteran actress Allwell Ademola, who reportedly died of a heart attack on Saturday, December 27, 2025.
Following the heartbreaking news, many Nigerians flooded Rotimi Salami’s social media pages with messages of concern and support, expressing worry over his emotional well-being.
The actor later addressed the situation in a viral post shared on his Instagram page, where he opened up about the depth of his grief.
In the emotional message, Salami pleaded with the public not to console him whenever they see him, explaining that he is still struggling to process the painful loss.
“Please, when you see me, don’t try to console me because I will break down.”
“I still can’t say farewell, Shuga Boo. All is not well at the moment,” he wrote.”
The actor revealed that despite days of uncontrollable tears, the reality of Ademola’s passing remains unbearable.
However, Rotimi Salami stated that he is making an effort to stay strong for the sake of his family, friends, fans, and especially his children.
“72 hours of endless tears still can’t bring back my Shuga Boo.”
But for the sake of our family, friends, and fans who showed up in prayers, calls, posts, and most especially for my children who will draw strength from me as we learn to move on without our Allwell Ademola, I promise to stand strong,” Salami added.
He also expressed gratitude to everyone who has reached out to him with love and concern, noting that he is currently too weak to respond to messages, calls, or voice notes.
“To everyone who has genuinely reached out to me with love and concern for my state of mind and well-being, I see all.”
“I’m just too weak to read, listen, respond, or even find the words to express how I really feel right now,” he concluded.
Allwell Ademola’s death has continued to draw emotional reactions from colleagues and fans across the Nigerian entertainment industry.
