Samuel Chukwueze has expressed confidence in the Super Eagles’ readiness as they continue their quest for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco.

Nigeria will face Mozambique on Monday in Fes in a round of 16 encounter, with Eric Chelle’s side going into the clash as favourites against a Mozambican team appearing in the AFCON knockout stage for the first time.
Samuel Chukwueze was one of Nigeria’s standout performers in the group stage, delivering two assists during the Super Eagles’ 3–1 win over Uganda in their final group match.
The AC Milan winger, currently on loan at Fulham, impressed with his pace, direct runs and creativity.
Speaking to journalists during the team’s official training session on Sunday, January 4, 2025, Chukwueze said the squad is united and fully focused on achieving their objective.
“We are very calm and we know we are ready to face any team,” he said.
“Everyone is prepared to give everything, whether you start or come off the bench.
From the last three games, you can see that the team is ready to push towards our goal, which is winning the AFCON title.”
The Super Eagles are aiming to secure a fourth continental crown as they advance into the knockout phase of the tournament.
