Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has revealed that she does not enjoy going on road trips in Nigeria, especially journeys longer than the Lagos–Ibadan route.
Speaking during a recent interview with media personality VJ Adams, the actress explained that while she is comfortable with road trips abroad, she prefers air and marine transportation within Nigeria due to concerns about infrastructure and security.
Shaffy Bello noted that her aversion to road travel in the country has had a noticeable impact on her social life, as many people no longer bother inviting her to events that require long-distance travel.
“I prefer water and air transportation. I don’t like road trips.”
I can do road trips abroad but in Nigeria, no, thank you,” she said.
She added that she only considers road travel in Nigeria when the person she is visiting is extremely important to her.
“Everybody knows me now. They say, ‘Don’t invite her, she won’t come.’ Once it is farther than Ibadan, count me out,” Bello stated.
