A devastating fire outbreak on Wednesday has gutted a major clothing warehouse at the Great Nigeria Insurance House.
This is a commercial high-rise located on Martins Street, Lagos Island.

Also, this leaves traders counting heavy losses in what many have described as a “black Christmas.”
The fire reportedly broke out at about 5 p.m.
Also, this affected several sections of the building commonly used for the storage and sale of clothing materials.
Preliminary reports indicate that the blaze started from an apartment on the fourth floor before rapidly spreading to other areas and extending to the fifth and sixth floors.
Emergency responders were swiftly deployed to the scene, with firefighting operations still ongoing as of the time of filing this report.
Although there were early fears of casualties, no deaths or injuries have been officially recorded.
The affected building houses multiple clothing warehouses, alongside corporate offices and retail shops.
This makes the incident a major blow to businesses operating within the complex.
Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service disclosed that it received a distress call at 4:41 p.m., with firefighters arriving at the scene by 4:53 p.m.
The agency stated that the fire spread to about the fifth floor of the 25-storey building
