Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is set to be honoured with a Lifetime Achievement award at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year show.
The BBC confirmed that the former France international will receive the prestigious award at the ceremony on Thursday, December 18, 2025.

Reacting to the recognition, Thierry Henry said football had given him everything and that he was grateful to be acknowledged as part of the sport’s history.
He added that making a lasting impact for fans and team-mates was something he would never take for granted.
Henry joins an elite list of past recipients of the award, including Billie Jean King, Pele, Sir Bobby Charlton, Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, Sir David Beckham, Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill and Sir Chris Hoy.
Sir Mark Cavendish was the most recent winner in 2024.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of his generation, Henry won 18 major trophies in senior football and scored hundreds of goals.
He is best known for his time at Arsenal, where he won multiple Premier League titles, FA Cups and Community Shields, and remains the club’s all-time leading goalscorer.
