Speaking at the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) Gala and Awards Night in Abuja, Shettima said the progress recorded in 2025 reflects the power of collective effort.

Also, he describes it as “the triumph of collaboration over silos.”

He urged all stakeholders to build on the gains achieved so far, stressing that sustained cooperation is key to national prosperity.

In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Stanley Nkwocha, the Vice President emphasised that the pursuit of excellence must continue beyond the ceremony.

According to him, excellence is not a one-off achievement but a constant culture that must be deliberately nurtured.

He added that the success of the administration’s reforms, driven by President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, depends largely on the commitment of public servants.

Shettima also underscored the importance of inter-agency cooperation.

He highlighted the Ports and Customs Efficiency Committee (PCEC) as a key driver of progress.

Also, he noted that the introduction of joint port inspection procedures has already begun yielding positive results by reducing delays and improving operational efficiency.

The event also witnessed the unveiling of the 2025 Business Facilitation Act (BFA) Compliance Report and the Subnational Ease of Doing Business Report.
