Nigeria takes centre stage as Africa charts its industrial future at the G20 Africa Outreach Meeting on Industrialisation and Agriculture.

Nigeria Leads Africa’s Industry At G20
Scheduled for Monday, November 3 2025, at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, the meeting will gather ministers, ambassadors, development partners, and experts from Africa and the G20.
Together, they will explore ways to turn agricultural potential into industrial growth across the continent.
Aligning Agriculture And Industry
Nigeria’s G20 Sherpa, Bukar Hamman, and Ben Joubert of South Africa’s Department of International Relations and Cooperation will co-chair the meeting.
Together, they will actively align Africa’s agro-industrial priorities with global initiatives, including the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the G20 Africa Partnership, to boost trade, industrial output, and economic resilience.

During the opening session, “Harnessing Agriculture for Industrial Growth”, speakers will highlight strategies to link farm productivity with industrial value chains.
Moreover, Nigeria’s Minister of Agriculture, Abubakar Kyari, will share the country’s experience connecting food systems to agro-processing industries.
In addition, Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, John Owan Enoh, will explain how Nigeria’s policies support regional industrialisation goals.
Partnerships For Sustainable Growth
Furthermore, speakers will emphasise the importance of partnerships in driving industrialisation, food security, and inclusive growth.
Plenary discussions will include G20 members, UNDP, UNIDO, and civil society representatives.
Finally, Hamman and Joubert will present the Chair’s Summary, capturing strategies that strengthen Africa’s role as a global industrial and agricultural leader.
