Popular Nigerian singer and former Psquare member, Peter Okoye, professionally known as Mr P, has opened up about his deepest fear, revealing that it is not death but poverty.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Nancy Isime Show, the music star disclosed that his difficult childhood experiences shaped his strong resolve never to return to a life of lack.

According to Mr P, he once lived with his parents and siblings in a single-room apartment before a traumatic incident changed their lives permanently.
Also, he recalled how the landlord sold the property without warning, leading to the sudden demolition of their home while they were still inside.
“I am not afraid of death. The only thing I am afraid of in this life is poverty, of being broke,” he said.
Sharing the painful memory, the singer explained that his family, made up of six boys and two girls.
They lived together with their parents in a one-bedroom boys’ quarters, which had to be divided with a curtain for privacy.
Despite their pleas for time to find another place, a bulldozer arrived and began destroying the building with them still inside.

Mr P added that the experience left a lasting impact on him and strengthened his determination to work hard and ensure financial stability for himself and his family.
