Nigerian media personality Do2dtun has accused the United States Embassy of issuing new passports to his children without his consent, despite an existing court order restricting their removal from Nigeria.

According to Do2dtun, his ex-wife, Taiwo Oyebanjo, obtained fresh U.S. passports for their children in 2022, even though he held the original documents and a Federal High Court had barred the minors from leaving the country during their ongoing divorce and custody proceedings.
Do2dtun shared photos online allegedly showing U.S. officials with the children before their departure, questioning how the embassy processed the applications without authorization from both parents.
He also called out former U.S. Consul General Mary Beth Leonard, demanding clarification on how a non-U.S.-citizen mother was able to secure the documents.
The dispute adds a new layer to the long-running custody conflict, with Do2dtun insisting he is fighting for equal parental rights and hoping for a reunion with his children after years of separation.
Neither the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria nor Oyebanjo has issued a public response to the allegations.
