Nigeria’s Super Falcons have once again asserted their dominance in African women’s football, winning the CAF Women’s National Team of the Year award for the third year in a row 2023, 2024, and now 2025.

The announcement was made at the prestigious awards ceremony held at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Rabat, Morocco.
Super Falcons beat strong contenders, including Ghana’s Black Queens and Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses, to claim the honour.
The victory comes on the heels of their record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title, secured in August 2024.
President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau, received the award on behalf of the team.
With this latest achievement, the Super Falcons further solidify their status as the most consistent and dominant force in African women’s football.
