Popular singer D’banj has once again reflected on the breakup of Mo’Hits Records
He discloses that it was his former partner, ace producer and music executive Don Jazzy, who initiated the idea for them to part ways.

Don Jazzy had announced the group’s split in 2012.
He explains at the time that disagreements between himself and D’banj made the separation inevitable.
In a recent appearance on the Mic On podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye, D’banj stated that Don Jazzy was “100 per cent responsible” for the dissolution of Mo’Hits.
According to him, if he had the chance to revisit the past, he would not change anything about his relationship with Don Jazzy, because the decision to walk different paths did not come from him.
“It came from Don Jazzy 100 per cent. And that’s why we have no issue,” he said.
D’banj further revealed that Don Jazzy handed over full ownership of his catalogue to him, along with about ten unreleased songs.
Also, he noted that although they had differing opinions at the time, he believed strongly in pushing their global movement
This is a dream that eventually materialised with the success of ‘Oliver Twist’, their final record together.
The singer added that he has no regrets about their separation, insisting the split was destined.
