Afrobeats singer Spyro has expressed concern over what he describes as the growing loss of moral and meaningful content in today’s music.
He insisted that the industry’s shift away from value-driven songs is contributing to society’s moral decline.

Appearing on the Adesope Live show, Spyro noted that older generations of artistes were intentional about passing messages that stirred emotions and inspired listeners.
Also, contemporary music has become heavily focused on superficial vibes rather than substance.
He argued that this change has heightened societal decadence.
Also, she urges today’s musicians to rediscover music’s intrinsic value and prioritise impact over financial gain.
According to him, the industry must return to creating songs that carry messages and values, adding that such a shift is crucial for cultural restoration.
“In the past, artistes were passing meaningful messages regardless of whatever genre they were doing. But now, music is just vibes. We are just vibing.
“In as much as vibes are cool, I feel like music has lost its intrinsic value. Back then, you would get goosebumps listening to music. Vibes are cool. But how can we infuse messages, values into vibes?
