In a heartfelt moment of honesty, Afrobeat sensation Burna Boy opened up about his long and complicated journey with faith.
Speaking in a chat with PBM, the Grammy-winning artist peeled back the layers of his spiritual life, sharing how his search for truth has taken him through different paths and left him with more questions than answers.
“Of course, I started as a Christian,” Burna Boy began, his tone reflective. “That’s what my parents believed in, and that’s the faith I was born into.”
But as I grew older and started to see life from my own lens, I converted to Islam.”
For Burna Boy, religion has never been just a box to tick it’s been a quest, a lifelong exploration.
“It’s like I’ve studied it all,” he admitted. “But I’m still out here trying to find out what’s really going on. The more I research, the more confused I get.”
