The Federal Government has expressed concern over the growing trend of immoral activities during “sign-out” celebrations among students in tertiary institutions and secondary schools across the country.

Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, made this known during an enlightenment campaign on government policies.
He was represented by the agency’s Director of Human Resources, Mrs. Ayisola Olowoyo.
Issa-Onilu noted that while celebrating academic milestones is commendable, many students now exploit the “sign-out” tradition to indulge in immoral acts, including indecent exposure and inappropriate touching within school premises.
“The Federal Government is concerned with the growing trend of immorality among students across the country.
Celebrating success is good, but it must not degenerate into indecency or acts that negate national values,” he said.
He explained that one of the objectives of the soon-to-be-launched National Charter is to instill discipline and values across all sectors of society.
The NOA boss also urged parents, guardians, and school administrators to take deliberate steps to caution their children and students against such behavior, stressing that collective responsibility is required to curb the trend.
