Champion Breweries Plc is reshaping Nigeria’s beverage market.
By acquiring Bullet, the country’s top ready-to-drink (RTD) alcoholic brand, the company projects more than fivefold revenue growth and over tenfold profit after tax (PAT) expansion.

Strong Momentum
The company revealed the deal at its “Facts Behind the Figures” session on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX).
Consequently, Bullet will drive over 70% of Champion’s topline and increase foreign currency earnings across 14 African markets.
Already, the company demonstrates strong momentum.
In H1 2025, Champion grew revenue by 111% and boosted PAT by 692%, reflecting disciplined execution that positions the business to integrate Bullet successfully.
“This is transformative,” said Managing Director Inalegwu Adoga.
“Bullet gives us scale, high-margin growth, and international reach.

To support growth, Champion is launching a ₦58 billion capital raise to fund the acquisition, expand into new markets, and invest in sustainability projects, including solar power at its Uyo brewery, ERP system upgrades, and returnable packaging solutions.
Investors already reward the transformation: Champion shares surged 302% on the NGX over the past year.
Founded in 1974 and headquartered in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Champion Breweries produces a diverse portfolio of beer, malt, and RTD brands while enJOYcorp maintains majority ownership.
