Nigeria’s fuel market is about to change dramatically.
On Monday, September 15, 2025, Dangote Petroleum Refinery will start directly supplying petrol to filling stations across the country, promising faster delivery and competitive pricing.

The refinery has set the gantry price at ₦820 per litre.
Meanwhile, retail prices will vary by region: Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Osun, and Ekiti will charge ₦841 per litre, while Abuja, Delta, Rivers, Edo, and Kwara will sell at ₦851.
Additionally, registered station owners will receive free nationwide delivery.
Expansion Amid Industrial Tension

At first, the scheme will cover selected states, but the refinery plans to expand operations in phases.
Furthermore, it has provided dedicated lines and an email address so marketers can register quickly and easily.
The announcement comes amid industrial tension.
NUPENG has placed members on “red alert” after Dangote reportedly withdrew from a government-brokered agreement, raising the risk of renewed strikes.
Nevertheless, the 650,000 barrels-per-day refinery is taking a bold step, reshaping petrol distribution and signalling a new era in Nigeria’s downstream sector.
