In a cease-and-desist notice issued through her legal representatives, Graylaw Partners, May alleged that Ugwuonye persistently shared damaging and malicious posts about her on social media.

According to the notice, these actions not only ridiculed and harassed her but also posed serious threats to her safety, with fabricated claims being used to incite hostility from third parties.

These posts are a calculated assault on our client’s reputation and have further imperiled her safety through malicious threats and false allegations. Beyond your own publications, you have incited others to amplify these communications, causing her severe and irreparable harm,” the letter read in part.

Her legal team has demanded that Ugwuonye immediately cease all defamatory publications, retract all previous posts, and issue a public apology across his platforms.

Additionally, May is seeking ₦1 billion in damages as compensation for the harm caused by the alleged online harassment.

The notice further warned that failure to comply could trigger full-scale legal proceedings against him.
