Legendary Nigerian musician, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, has declared Burna Boy as Nigeria’s number one artiste at the moment.
In a recent interview with Urban FM, Enugu, the music icon praised Burna Boy’s artistry. describing him as the leader and “senior” of the current generation of Nigerian stars.
“On a personal level, Burna Boy is my number one. Although I still have other artistes that I admire, personally as an artiste, Burna Boy is my number one right now. Among all the others I am referring to, he is the senior,” 2Face said.
2Face explained that Burna Boy’s rise on the global stage and his consistency in delivering groundbreaking music set him apart.
According to him, the Grammy-winning star has become a standard-bearer for Afrobeats and Nigerian music internationally.
The African Queen crooner also noted that while Burna Boy currently leads the pack, there are younger talents on the rise who have the potential to attain the same level of greatness.
Also, he emphasised that the Nigerian music industry is blessed with creativity and diversity, making it one of the fastest-growing globally.
