Nigeria’s coach, Jose Peseiro, is optimistic the Super Eagles have what it takes to beat Bafana in the Afcon semi-finals.
However, the extra energy required to make another effort is the secret of winning.
Both South Africa and the Super Eagles have not conceded in their last four Africa Cup of Nations matches, underlining their resolute defensive abilities.
However, that will be put under massive test when the two nations face each other on Wednesday in the semi-final.
In four out of the last five meetings between the two nations, both sides have scored meaning chances of ending the ongoing clean sheet run are high.
In the aforementioned number of matches, each side has secured a single win, with the remaining three ending in draws.
Peseiro is happy with the way his defenders have done so far but went on to challenge his attackers to score more to stand a chance of beating Bafana Bafana in the semi-final.
Efficiency
“Once again we played without conceding and scored a goal.
“But I would have liked more,” Peseiro told the Caf media.
“The team could have created more opportunities.
“We are a quality team, Angola was very good, but we had more luck.
“I remain satisfied with my players but want us to be more efficient.
“We are missing some key creators like Kelechi Iheanacho and Joe Aribo.
“So it has been hard but others must now step up.”

However, Nigeria will depend so much on the likes of Alex Iwobi to create chances for Moses Simon, Ademola Lookman, and Victor Osimhen.
Bafana’s Ronwen Williams has had a good tournament and his heroics might be needed to stop the Super Eagles.
