“But all’s well that ends well.

“I feel like we’re headed to a good place.”

Also, Mr Musk says running the social media network has been “quite a rollercoaster”.

The PUNCH reports that the Twitter CEO had announced April 20 as the final date for the removal of free Twitter-verified badges

BBC Label

Furthermore, Mr Musk during the interview appeared to tacitly acknowledge one of those errors.

This error was the decision to label the BBC’s Twitter account as “government-funded media”.

However, Mr Musk says he would change the designation on the BBC’s Twitter handle after the broadcaster objected.

“We want it as truthful and accurate as possible – we’re adjusting the label to ‘publicly funded’,” Musk says.

The BBC complained after it was labelled as a government-funded media.

According to the BBC, the company is predominantly funded by an annual licence fee set by the government but paid by individual households.

New York Times

Mr Musk also addressed Twitter’s move to strip the New York Times of its blue verified check mark.

This was done after the company refused to pay to keep it.

Earlier, Twitter announced that it would be removing legacy verified accounts on Twitter that were verified under the previous Twitter owner.

However, Mr Musk has given a confirmed date of April 20, after which, verified accounts will have to pay to subscribe to Twitter Blue.

Giving his reason, Mr Musk says he did not want Twitter to boost “some anointed class of journalists” who determine what constitutes news.

“I’m hopeful that this can be more a case of the public choosing the narrative, as opposed to the media choosing the narrative,” he said.

When asked about Twitter’s new CEO after he stepped down in response to a poll he conducted, he named his dog, Floki.

Apparently, this is the reason Musk changed the logo to that of a dog.
