The Whistler had earlier reported that Tinubu could not arrive at Minna, the Niger State Capital for his campaign due to poor health.

According to the report, Tinubu was advised to avoid the rally and take “a deserved rest”.

Respondent to an inquiry by The Whistler, the Tinubu PCC denied the news that their candidate was sick.

One of the spokesmen for the PCC, Dele Alake, said the news was an “Absolue bunkum, balderdash, hogwash,” describing it as an “infantile imagination of wrapped minds.”

Another spokesperson of the council, Bayo Onanuga, responded to the paper in a message saying, “Nothing like that,” declaring that “there was no health scare about our candidate.”

The two spokespersons however had accepted that the candidate was late for the event but gave no reasons for it.

Tinubu’s health status has on many occasions been questioned as several reports claim he is being afflicted with Parkinson’s disease and he has never outrightly denied or confirmed it.
