The Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on Monday gave his opinion on the Supreme Court ruling on the 2023 presidential elections petition.
He addressed a press conference and reeled out his thoughts about the decision of the apex court.
During the conference, he sought permission to “make some few remarks on the ruling of the supreme court, the highest court in Nigeria”.
“About a fortnight ago, I was travelling when I received a notice of the judgement on the challenge of the 2023 presidential elections.
“As someone who has previously benefitted from the ruling of the court, after a period of deep reflection decided to personally give an opinion.”
In his speech, Peter Obi said the judgment passed by the supreme court dashed the hopes of a majority of Nigerians by sacrificing justice for political expediency.

The LP standard bearer, however, said as democrats, he, the Vice Presidential Candidate, Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, have exhausted all legal means to challenge the 2023 general elections.
He noted that the party was now ready to take the message of a new Nigeria to the grassroots.
