Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has been recognized for his outstanding performance by being named in the Ligue 1 Team of the Week. This honour comes after his impressive display in Nantes’ 1-1 draw with Saint-Etienne on Sunday, January 19, 2025.
Simon’s contribution to the match was significant, as he gave Nantes the lead in the 14th minute. This goal was his fifth of the season, adding to his five assists in 16 league appearances for the Canaries.
The match ultimately ended in a draw, with substitute Augustine Boakye scoring an equalizer for Saint-Etienne four minutes from time.
Despite the draw, Simon’s performance stood out, earning him a spot in the Ligue 1 Team of the Week as the only representative from Nantes.
