On Monday, November 21, 2023, a judge ruled that A$AP Rocky will stand trial for felony assault after he allegedly shot his former friend A$AP Relli.
A$AP Rocky previously pleaded not guilty to two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm after A$AP Relli alleged Rocky shot him outside a Hollywood hotel in 2021.
However, after hearing nearly two days of testimony in a preliminary hearing, Superior Court Judge M.L. Villa ruled that there was enough evidence for Rocky to stand before a jury.
During the hearing, Terrell Ephron, known as A$AP Relli, testified that he and Rocky had a riff in their relationship.
The alleged “beef” resulted in a “standoff,” in which Relli alleges Rocky pulled a gun on him and “in a later confrontation fired shots that gazed at Ephron’s knuckles.”
