Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has finally broken silence over the death of his grandson, Kambilichukwu.
He expresses sadness over the unfortunate loss.
Speaking with Vanguard, Pete said his son, Yul, had informed him via telephone call on Wednesday that Kambilichukwu fell down while playing football with his schoolmates and developed a seizure.
The Seizure
Kambilinachukwu fell unconscious and was rushed to the clinic for medical attention, all efforts by the Doctors to resuscitate him proved abortive.
It was gathered that the boy developed a seizure while playing football with his colleagues in school and was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital.
Unfortunately, he didn’t survive it.
Experience
The legendary actor says his family started praying for the child immediately after Yul told them about the sad incident.
He says it was unfortunate that his grandson died while he had shown great promise.
According to him, Kambilinachukwu is a brilliant and talented child.
Pete added that he had often expressed worry about the excelling traits of his grandson.
To him, experience has taught him that such people do not always last.

“Kambilinachukwu is a very quiet, brilliant and talented child. He’s not somebody you can ride easily. He doesn’t get angry no matter the situation.
“He may change his composure, but he was definitely a very unusual person in so many respects. He was so accomplished.

“I always tell my son that I don’t like people excelling like this in anything they are involved in.
“Experience has taught me that such people don’t last long,” the popular actor said.
