Recall that the aggrieved PDP chieftains had jetted to the UK. There were speculations that the G-5 went abroad for a strategic meeting ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The party chieftains who found faults in the PDP leadership since the conclusion of the party’s convention in May 2022 are making the demand as a precondition to support the presidential ambition of Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 elections.

They have maintained that the PDP national chairmanship position should be given to a Southerner.
