There was tension in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State’s capital, as gunmen kidnapped a Channels Television reporter identified as Joshua Rogers.
The gunmen whisked Rogers away to an unknown destination around 9:00 p.m.
It was on Thursday that the incident happened.
Roger was close to his residence at Rumuosi in Port Harcourt when the gunmen attacked.
He was driving his official Channels Tv-branded car when the gunmen attacked him and took him away in the same vehicle.
Official Assignment
He was said to be returning from his official assignment in the Government House after a trip to Andoni for a government event when the incident happened.

Also, it was gathered that the gunmen have already contacted his wife and demanded a 30 million Naira ransom for his release.
His cameraman confirmed the incident and appealed to his abductors to set him free unconditionally.
