Official: Cazoo Become New Marseille Shirt Sponsor - Footy Headlines

French football giants, Olympique de Marseille have revealed online car retailer Cazoo as their new shirt sponsor in a multi-year deal kicking in from the 2022/23 campaign.

The agreement, financial terms of which were not disclosed, will see Cazoo replace Uber Eats on the Ligue 1 club’s jersey.

The food delivery app’s deal with Marseille, which began from 2019/20, is reportedly worth €3 million (US$3.3 million) per year until the end of the ongoing season.

In addition to front-of-shirt exposure, Cazoo’s branding will feature throughout Marseille’s Stade Vélodrome home, across the club’s website and on all media backdrops featured on televised football coverage.

Cazoo also plans to leverage Marseille’s other digital channels to boost brand awareness.

Cazoo recently launched in France and sees sports sponsorship as an effective way to help establish the company in new markets.
