Former Senate President and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Bukola Saraki has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to seek the assistance of past political office holders in finding solution to the perennial security challenges in the country.
Saraki who cataloged ugly incidents in the country in recent times told the President that he should not shy away from the fact that he needed help, adding that the current situation concerns not only people in government but every good-spirited Nigerian.
The former governor of Kwara State was confident that past leaders would be desirous of assisting Buhari in proffering solutions to the dangerous problems at hand.
He said the fact that his advice is coming from outside the government circle, should make it instructive enough for President Buhari to take into consideration.
Saraki in a statement on Tuesday stated, ‘’Nigeria experienced one of the saddest days in recent memory. It is obvious President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) government need help. They have been overwhelmed by the situation and they sure need assistance from all.”
