Ndlea Detains Nine Suspects In Kaduna

Nine suspects have been detained by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kaduna State Command, on suspicion of possessing illegal drugs.

The suspects were detained between October 6 and October 16 in various locations throughout the state, according to a report made available to journalists in Kaduna by the state commander, Mr. Umar Adoro.

Adoro claimed that one of the suspects was apprehended in Zaria with 15.5kg of Indian hemp and another was apprehended in Kaduna with 26kg of Indian hemp.

The commander reported that additional suspects had been detained in Jos, Kakau, Gonin Gora, and Tashar Yari.

He claimed that two of the suspects also had 192.2 grams of methamphetamine and N300,000 in counterfeit Naira notes.

Adoro reported that a suspect was also taken into custody on October 16 along with 919 Tramadol tablets weighing 400 grams, 5,000 Diazepam tablets weighing 900 grams, and 25,000 Exol-5 tablets weighing 8.2 kilograms.

In order to combat the state’s drug trafficking problem, the commander pleaded with the populace to promptly inform the NDLEA.
