However, individuals and business owners have devise other means of transactions for their businesses due to lack of cash.

Unfortunately, they are also devising new ways of ensuring they stay in business, regardless of the risk involved.

Armed Robbers With POS

On Saturday, something shocking happened at the Eleshin area at Olomo community in Apete, Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State.

Robbers invaded that community.

Surprisingly, the robbers operated with a Point-of-Sale device (POS).

The robbers invaded the community around 1:00AM and used the POS device to transfer money from the victims.

The incident has put the entire community into panic, as residents are leaving in fear.

One of the residents, who spoke on condition of anonymity said the robber operated freely with POS.

The source speaking on the incident said: “The armed robbers got to the area around 1:00AM.

“They operated freely with POS and transferred some amount of money, which cannot be specified at the moment, from one of their victims’ accounts.

“They also transferred an undisclosed amount of money from his wife’s account and left.

“The robbers also went away with two phones, iPhone 11 Pro Max and XS Max”.

The case was said to have been reported at the Apete Divisional Police Command.

Ordinarily, one will think that since accounts are traceable to owners using the BVN, it will be an unrealistic venture for a robber to transfer money into a known account.

But this assurance appears to be only on paper and not in reality.

These robbers now damn the chances of getting caught and still carry out their nefarious activities.
