The episodes unfolding in the death of Mohbad is not looking like one that will end in a hurry.

Nigerian actress and mother of two, Iyabo Ojo, who is also referred to as, “mother of the youths” and “Queen mother” took it upon herself to follow up on the process of seeking justice for late Mohbad.

In a video shared by Iyabo Ojo, she was seen with Nollywood actress, Tonto Dike and they were shopping for an expensive casket. Basically, their aim is to give late Mohbad a befitting burial.

They chose a white coloured casket, as Mohbad’s other name was Imole which means “light”.

However, in the course of shopping, the CEO of Ebony vault where they shopped in Ikoyi, Lagos said they can have the coffin for free.

They thanked him as he gave them even more of the funeral services for free. All for Mohbad.

Mohbad Will Be Buried Like A King

Iyabo Ojo was so excited as she said, “Mohbad will be buried like a king”.

However, this video attracted different reactions. Some hailed Iyabo Ojo and her team for taking it upon themselves to give Mohbad a befitting burial.

In a twist, others lashed out against the Queen mother, saying she was only doing “this” for public attention not because she cared about the late singer.

One of those who attacked her is Nigerian journalist, Kemi Olunloyo. She called Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dike a “clout chaser”.

Kemi asked if Iyabo Ojo will have the same excitement to record the coffin shopping if it were any of her children.

Iyabo Ojo wasted no time in firing back at Kemi, calling her a broke woman and a thief. Also, she was quick in asking her not to ever wish death on her children.

Many netizens reacted to this clash by supporting Iyabo saying Mohbad’s funeral is now a national issue and as such, the process should be transparent to ensure accountability.

However, a few agreed with Dr. Olunloyo. Basically, they say the casket shopping should be discrete, as the grieving family of Mohbad may not be pleased with having the videos shared online.
