Megan Thee Stallion Gets Restraining Order Against Her Label Over Amas

Rapper, Megan Thee Stallion has obtained a restraining order against her label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, and her distributor 300 Entertainment, over a deal with American Music Award.

Documents obtained by TMZ revealed that Megan alleged that 1501 made “threatening and retaliatory” moves to block her from using her own music in connection with the AMAs which will be handed out this coming Sunday.

This comes amid a contract dispute with the label. While the rapper believes she has fulfilled the terms of her contract and is entitled to be a free agent, 1501 claims she still owes more recordings.

Megan didn’t say anything specific about what 1501 and/or 300 Entertainment allegedly said or did to disrupt the AMA broadcast on ABC, but a judge heard enough to grant the temporary restraining order. Both companies are now barred from interfering with the use of her music on the award show.

The rapper is up for Favorite Female Hip Hop Artist, and voting for the award ends tonight.
