American rapper Meek Mill has shown interest in becoming a citizen of Ghana. The Philadelphia-born rapper expressed his desire to settle in Ghana because he feels America is oppressive towards the growth of Black people.
“I wanna get citizenship in Ghana!!!! America made to tear black men down if you don’t follow orders!” he tweeted on March 4, 2024.

This announcement came after Meek faced trolling and rumors about his sexuality following his connection to a lawsuit against music executive Diddy.
Last month, Rodney Jones filed a lawsuit against Diddy, and although Meek’s name wasn’t directly mentioned, the lawsuit hinted at his involvement.
The lawsuit mentioned a “Philadelphia Rapper who dated Nicki Minaj,” which Rodney alleged Diddy had told him about.
After facing online backlash over these allegations, Meek took to Twitter to deny being gay or romantically involved with Diddy in any way.
