Mason Mount scored twice to lead Chelsea to a 2-0 Premier League victory over struggling Aston Villa on Sunday, continuing Graham Potter’s strong start as Chelsea manager.
Since Potter replaced Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea has gone undefeated in six games, and their victory at Villa Park marked their fifth straight victory in all competitions.
Tyrone Mings made a terrible defensive mistake for Chelsea’s opener and Villa missed several big chances in the first half as Kepa Arrizabalaga had a fine game in goal.
Any hope of Villa salvaging something from the game disappeared in the 65th minute when Mount’s dipping free kick deceived keeper Emiliano Martinez.

After three-straight wins in the Premier League, Chelsea now have 19 points. Villa remain on nine points and have won just twice this season.
