Manchester United interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy congratulated Amad Diallo after his match-winning display against PAOK on Thursday.
Amad struck twice in the second half of the Europa League game at Old Trafford as United beat the Greek side 2-0, earning their first win in the competition this season.
The Ivory Coast international had five shots overall and put in a stellar display to inspire United to a second win from three matches since Van Nistelrooy took charge following Erik ten Hag’s sacking, and the Dutchman was full of praise on the 22-year-old.
“He made a difference today, because of his goals but he was very sharp,” the ex-United star told TNT Sports.
“Well done to him, good game.
“Positionally we weren’t good in the first half.
“We were much better at that in the second half.
“He has been incredible in training, he always trains well and is asking me to do more.”
